Today is Sunday and we as Christians come before God in worship and praise. Here at Christianityinfo we tag every
Sunday as Hallelujah Sunday.
We all shout hallelujah in church but do we know wat it really means?
Hallelujah is a combination of some Hebrew words that when broken down gives the following meaning "praise ye YAH (YAHWEH). Hallel in Hebrew is a joyous outburst of praise in songs to God. Literally speaking of singing out loud as if you have lost you mind. While jah (yah) is a short form for the personal name of God YAHWEH (YHWH). It is a celebration of His kingship and royalty, thus it can also mean to celebrate God. It is also the highest praise we can ever give to God. Celebrating Him in the beauty of His holiness.
So as we approach His throne today in worship let's us open not just our mouths but our hearts in an outburst of praise to the Most High God for He alone deserves all our worship and as it's said "when the praises go up His blessings come down".
It is also the first Sunday in February. Here in Nigeria must churches hold a thanksgiving service for the month. Do send us your comments and pictures of your service proceedings remembering that we celebrate God not man.
Shalom.
